Artist's statement: (Spiritual Art Show - Producer's Comment) The leper at the gate.
James Freid’s sculpture “Anawim at the Gate” shows the viewer the reality of the beggars, the “lepers”, of society we see everyday on the street. The sculpture, made of welded rings from a discarded transmission, is extraordinary, bold. Its name is the Hebrew word Anawim, the poor, the humble. Anawim is also the same word Jesus used when he said: “Blessed are the poor in … “A word that has been used by , is the . James’ ,n Amanda Hunter’s “You Love Everyone” as she describes it “is a contemporary icon form that represents God in whose image we are created to reconcile, heal, and create”.
