The artist Jimmy Longoria has for last five years painted live at the Cinco De Mayo events in the Twin Cities for free. "It is an act of service to communicate with our people the truth of our Chicanismo", says the artist when he is asked about the lack of funding for the Arts. "We ( Chicano Artists)began working for food and painting money. The times have come back agin, this time we can show or brother ( of all colors) how to keep the Arts alive without much money"
