Statement

This was created as the first in a series for a crazy-fun bunch of Browncoats. You know who you are.

Nathan Fillion has amazing eyes and very expressive features, but the dark side of Mal's character seemed to infuse every stroke. I poured all my heartbreak into this one.

You captured Mal’s inner pain very well.

Very nice work! I'm glad you posted it. Mal's expression was particularly strong, especially with the title for context. All of it is shiny.

Wow, I'm always impressed by 'Good' art. When I say good I mean by quality of work & subject. Any thoughts to do some of the other cast members? Would love to have a set of prints of the whole cast. Needless to say what you have done is excellent.

I can't offer much in the way of proper criticism. I know zip about the actual process of creating something like this. Lighting? Shadows? Perspective? No idea. What I can tell you is that your 'Mal' kicks ass. I am eagerly awaiting the rest of the series. Good on ya.
