Basil Cafe - California

Generated by the act of glancing, this intimate space is developed through multiple privileged points of view defined for each individual performer or spectator visiting the cafe. Three principle interior elements are brought into relationship, a serpentine lunch counter, continuous wall bench and a perspectival mural. Designed to maximize the depth of space, deep passage through the cafe reveals dynamic sectional qualities at the glass wall, tray pick-up and toilet room vestibule.
