This comes from the spirit I could feel looming over me one year when i grew this "Russian Mammoth" sunflower!  As you can see it grew as tall as my gutters, where it cast a big shadow and patiently watched me as I gardened.  In the fall the squirrels merely reached out from the roof for handfuls of seeds for their snacks....
