June '09 I heard about a plein air painting festival happening in RedWing, MN so I went down to hang out w/ other artists and see what it was all about.



-Turned out I was not too late to join the contest, although the Quick-Paint was already 45 min. underway.  I said, "That's OK-I'd love to try!" so I grabbed my stuff and headed out for 2 very focused hours of work.  It started to rain and I was sitting on the ground, so i propped an umbrella over my right shoulder and held it against the wind w/ my left hand, and kept painting....

This little piece sold to a native of RedWing, which makes me proud.  The locals are the hardest to please, knowing the area so well.....
