The Cycle, 2009
Woodblock Steamroller Print 50" x 103"
"When I moved from Mexico City to the United States for employment reasons, I learned what it felt like to be part of a subculture-the immigrant community. I tap into that feeling of alienation when I photograph those from subcultures to share their lives with others.
This print is about creative energy. Creative energy is a cycle - never beginning, never ending. The primary production stems from a source, to be produced and liberated, and, eventually decomposing. Each link in this chain may progress in a different direction."
