This fantasy watercolor and ink painting depicts my interpretation of a historic site in my home town.
It is comparitively empty now when one thinks of the hustle and bustle of the early 1900's and the special growth of Little Falls along the Mississippi River.
We, the 3rd oldest city in Minnesota, were growing and had the luxuries of electricity, running water & sewer, and steam engine railroads for major transportation.

I have depicted people gathered together at the train depot waiting for the train to arrive. The time of day and the weather may influence their enjoyment of the wait.

This watercolor underwent a major value infusion before submission to a watercolor exhibition. Rich color and dark darks changed the lighting and enhanced the enjoyment of the painting.

Dusk - Little Falls Depot recieved an Artist Del Norte Member Award 11/2005.
And it was juried into the 13th Annual Red River Watercolor Society National Juried Exhbition May 1 - June 20, 2006.

It also recieved an award at this RRWS show - a $100 Merchandise Award with Golden Artist Colors, Inc.

Since this painting was my 3rd acceptance within 10 years into this national juried exhibition, I have recieved RRWS Signature Status because of this fantasy folk painting.
I will be able to sign my work with K Braud RRWS. It was very exciting!
