Statement


“Perusing a few issues of Art Police in the late 70s and
early 80s, I recall being struck by the chaos and ambition of each issue. My
goal in revisiting the work of Artpolice is to recognize an important
underground art collective through fragments of its two-decades of production.
The street level location of the Shoebox Gallery offers the public an
opportunity to spot this rare bird, its very appearance standing as a gesture
