Client: Small Residential Family
Project Goals: Create a durable, stable and ergonomically pleasing dining chair. Use the Como Zoo Conservatory for inspiration.
Design Problem: Incorporating pleasing esthetics, ergonomics, and stability in one.
Solution: Using organic shapes found at the Como Conservatory, I designed a ergonomic chair that incorporates bent plywood and silver maple. The back of the chair as well as the sturdy legs and stretchers will make this chair durable. Bent wood and a carved out seat enhances ergonomics. Organic shapes make the chair esthetically pleasing.
