Client: Rainbow Montessori School
Project Goals: Incorporate classrooms, a learning center, nature study and gym, administrative offices, teacher and assistant offices, teachers' lounge and restrooms
Design Problem: Need for a learning environment that provokes exploration and development in the children and to evoke the Montessori Message
Solution: Create an open plan w/ smaller enclosed areas and partial separation from one area to another to enhance freedom of children. Accommodate with movable, flexible furniture that suits both the children and the teachers. Use of bold colors and an array of textures to further enhance learning and stimulation.
