These are photographs of photo albums taken while I was helping with
relief effort in New Orleans seven months after Hurricane Katrina
(spring 2006). The houses I helped muck out had not been touched since
the hurricanes and were still filled with mud. There was mold
everywhere. Somehow the particular combination of the album or frameand the photographic chemicals created multi-colored mold growing in beautiful abstract patterns.
