"Prisoner of War" was created for the world premier of Sears A. Eldredge's Return to Kanburi. Inspired by the Japanese Noh mask tradition, "Prisoner of War" was sculpted to convey several emotions that transform with the actor's movement. Materials: Papier Mache, acrylics, barbed wire, gold leaf.
"Brently created what I thought was impossible. Not since W.T. Benda, the great American mask master, have I seen papier mache masks this fine."
