The visuals and the sonic was an interplay and a counterpoint. The sound was a recorded studio session. I mobilized my writings into spoken art performance with the attuned collaboration of Dan Choma, musician and sound engineer. The session was snaked. All of my work is improvisational. The installation became the buzz of the Art Crawl. Sensuous x provocative. Visceral. Energy. Flux. The space between the visual work and the phrasing of the spoken art all converged and created a performance. My voice and the pace and the percussion set the visuals into steam. The visuals called out to the sound and acted as fleeting touchstones.

The writings were two of my poem/librettos recorded in a continuous loop. Both writings can be found on this website under the titles: Pine Tree: Moon RAPTURE 2010 (stand up bass) and TABULA RASA: CHANGES 2008 (percussive bells).

This is a new venture- spoken art and collaborating with a jazz musician. In September 2010 at the Dakota Jazz Club, Rene Marie and her band improvised on my SPARROW 2010 poem/libretto which was a signal to me.
