My husband has a spiritual side that is contemplative and focused. He spends time meditating and is happiest in a state of mindful awareness. I respect and admire him for his stillness; it’s a quality I’ve never been able to achieve except when I’m painting. 

I wanted to paint a love letter of sorts about the things I love and admire in him. His positive attitude, his enjoyment of a spiritual walk, his otherworldly wisdom and calm that helps enhance our shared life. He's a steady boat in an ocean storm.
