Statement

General statement on stained glass:
Stained glass is a kinetic art form. Sunlight streams through the glass to energize the colors and fill them with life. I like to view stained glass as a metaphor of photosynthesis. It displays the sun's energy that brings sustenance to our being. While not all of my pieces make a direct connection to this idea, this is what draws me to stained glass.
Statement on this piece:
Two gardeners are loosely depicted, bending toward one another. They reach down to the bottom of the heart, where roots form. Rising back up the center of the heart is a blooming flower and rising sun. The birth of my son inspired this radiant heart.
