We buy all our milk in half-gallon bags at the gas station. When we drink eight gallons a week, the savings really starts to add up. Anyway, since going to the gas station and buying milk is an inconvenience, the kid who tags along and helps out can pick out a donut from the case as their reward. Sixty-nine cents for a willing grocery-getter is a good deal, and everyone looks forward to their "Donut Day".
I started creating magnet versions of miniature food to make happy, food-related memories (like this one) more portable. May Donut Day live forever.
