Statement

This is a balancing act style piece made up of 5 parts. The top was preserved as it fell in on itself. Once connected it was trimmed on the inside to allow it to be functional. It weighed .75lbs when it was put into the kiln and stands approximately 1'6" high.



I used a celedon on the inside in my perfect pour style of application an a warm tan on the exterior which I faded using a sponge. Celedon was added to the folds to give the appearance of a seep happining from the inside out.



This was done at the end of my first semester of ceramics may 2011.
