Statement

Found this turtle crossing a path towards the river, I bothered it for a photo and then let it on its way. Beautiful, rosy shell and skin -- I felt compelled to paint!

For sale, $70 unframed (unless I get it framed in the meantime). Painted on some very sturdy, brown art paper with gouache.

(it's actually my first attempt at using gouache, and I'm pretty pelased with the way it turned out)
