Acrylic on canvas, 36" x 12", created May 2013.
Depicting a line of laundry blowing in the wind.
The days of pre-technology are long-gone, and constant noise stresses us. But through the need and desire to conserve resources, simple solutions emerge, like hanging clothes on a line. Abundant wind and warm sunshine infuse both laundry and our psyche with calm sensibility, like being rocked in a boat. Watching the fluttering sheets, one yellow pillow case stands out against the blue field of sky, like a flag of a new order: one nation, under calm, indisturbable, with tranquility and resources for all.
LaWanda Walters beautiful!
Dale Jacobson Laundry never looked so-- what's the word-- ebullient?
