Partridge Dance, 10" x 8" acrylic on canvas
A quartet of partridges frequented our yard throughout the winter, dining under the birdfeeders where seed was spilled. I fell in love immediately with their patterned wings and body shapes.
Being skittish creatures, the partridges fled if they sensed any motion within the house or windows. But if we were fortunate to watch them, they pranced, heads up, like a line of wobbly dancers across the snow to seedier feeding grounds. We enjoyed the partridges all winter, refering to them as "our chickens."
Sandra Hanken Really fun!
And a great way to spend a snowy day!
Connie Bergendahl Is the bird lifting one of it's feet because it's so cold out? :-)
