Remnants of Ringo Farm
I think it is our memories that shape us into the people we become. These photographs are of my Grandmothers dairy farm. I grew up with this farm as a part of my life. A place I use to visit every Sunday with my entire family. This was a farm that was once considered the ideal dairy farm, and even used in advertising for Land O’ Lakes.
It has been 10 years since we visited the farm on a regular basis. Going back to photograph brought back memories from the past. The smell of hay, and the feeling of the barn invoke memories of my childhood, and my Grandmother. My grandmother was the first person who introduced me to photography, and she often would walk around the farm taking her own photographs.
It’s the memories of my time at Ringo Farm, and the time spent with my Grandmother, that will remain with me, even if the farm does not.
