A rich chant piece using a vocorder to multiply voices, Tibetin bells and numerous subtle SFX i.e. crying, moaning and percussion. Placed in the play Zastrozzi, used as music for a large movement/dance piece.
My grandfather was a "hooch" runner. The man to the right is a federal agent.
A murder is about to be commited. Written for George Poletuse's production of ZASSTROZI at the University of Saint Catherines. The playwright is a Canadian Avant Garde who bases a lot of his work on Classical stories. i.e. Caeser and Cleopatra. A rich movement/dance work using a vintage Korg Vocorder multipying male voices, Tibetin bells, percussion, SFX i.e. moaning, crying...small student vocal ensemble.
There is a lot more music and sound design, but I didn't like it, soooo..you don't have to suffer through it.
It is weird, spicey, etherial......helps to create a relaxing evening.
Worth the admission price. A risky but successful undertaking for college actors.
