The Mural is old but the parts are now of interest to me. When originally painted the "Bull" was an answer to a question by a fellow artist as to why I was working wuthout a "sketch". The answer was that this mural was being painted by a "painter" and not a "bill board" artist. The point to make here is that this Chicano mural was breaking away from what the "Art" establishment might know about "Latino Art". The image of the bull was painted free-hand without a drawing or any rehearsal. The 11 year old boy who came everyday to watch the mural change "cheered" as the Bull came into being befor his eyes. It is noteworthy that the Art Elite of Minnesota can't see the painting for the mural.
