The Latino community grows daily by the constant influx of families fronm the Southwest States. They are documented and skilled workers come north as a result of being displaced by mexican "undocumented" workers in there home communities. They bring with them the "mexican/american" cultural dilema that gave rise to the Chicano Art ideal.
I paint in the style of "broom brush" muralist because it reflects the reality of the community.
Although it is fashionable to find the "latino: within every artist. There is a bold truth being manifest in the streets. The Chicano ideal is being fomented again. The children standing near thier american of mexican decent parents are powerful future for American Culture et al.
