Statement

Life drawing in art classes at the Univeristy of Minnesota led me to improve my techniques for drawing in my sketchbooks. This quick pencil sketch of another artist, Steve, represents my improvisational skills for drawing a portrait. One of Steve's carpentered wood sculptures, a long non-functional clock, hangs in my home.
