Statement

Photographing crab apples in a crab apple tree in my back yard with a free pen-sized digital camera, I discovered a hornets' nest. The hornets' nest looks like an abstract paper sculpture, while the crab apples look like "trompe l'oeil." Bachmans did the landscape around my modern cedar condominium home in St. Louis Park.
