Statement

I photographed the crab apple trees in my back yard again with a free pen-sized digital camera on a windy day. Using a Photoshop dry brush filter, the wildly swaying branches became an abstract expressionist composition.

The abstract expressionist painters started as camouflage painters for the U. S. Army. Blowing leaves are the natural foundation for action painting.
