My favorite portrait model is my grandson, Jack. This is a picture of him at nine months waking up from his afternoon nap.

This painting won an Award of Excellence at the 2001 Edina Art Center Members Juried Exhibit.
It was cited for its use of color, strong drawing, and background design work.
