My goal here was to invert the idea of a chandelier from an opulent, translucent focal point in the room to a low, opaque, and industrial looking object. I also wanted to create a juxtaposition of artificial and romantic of light. Because of the low center of gravity of the piece it has a sensitivity to the air currents in the room.
