Statement

In autumn, the Linden or basswood tree right outside my back door transforms into a bower of golden light, that lends its glow to everyone beneath it. Standing below, the variety of colors created by the wind and sunshine moving through is a cheerful sight. I tried to espress that dance of leaf and wind in this piece, rather than paint each exact one.
12" x 18" original chalk pastel painting, with a pale yellow mat and black metal frame.
