Statement

Magic Mirror is about the surreal aspects of reflections that happen when ice & open water below reflect trees on a steep hill above the viewer--out of the range of the picture.
But that makes it sound too cerebral. This is a small, playful piece, using as much color as I could see in the foliage lining the sunny banks of Minnehaha Creek one March.
It is oil on canvas, @8 x 10" with an antiqued, ornate, 1" black wood frame.
