Vueltas (Spin)
"Vueltas" was inspired by an engraved bone from Tikal, Guatemala. A canoe bears its passengers (2 humans, 1 iguana, 1 monkey) into the deep black waters of the underworld (Xibalba). In Maya cosmology, as the Milky Way rotates in the night sky it transforms itself from the World Tree (Wacah Chan) into a canoe sinking into the underworld and back again. "Vuelta" is a play on words referring to the rotation of the Milky Way but it also means "to go for a ride."
