Welcome to Caffé Madras, a wildly twisted dance trip to the imaginary streets of Madras, where Miles Davis seduces celestial nymphs, Charles Mingus charms snakes and Charlie Parker signals traffic!

"one of the best dance acts I've ever seen" by phillip low: Skill without enthusiasm is tedious; enthusiasm without skill is laughable. Here's a group that has both, in spades. The dances -- choreographed to big-band jazz tunes -- are brilliantly done, but beyond that the performers themselves are so engaging, their enthusiasm is so infectious, that it's impossible not to enjoy their performance. In fact, they characterize their movements so well that at times they don't even seem to be part of a dance act, they seem simply to be people who move this way naturally.
