Statement

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wanted: An artist and a writer in need of space!
Fridley, Minnesota Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts (BLCA) is seeking applicants for the Artist and Writer in Residency program for 2006. One visual artist and one literary artist will be selected for residency in 2006. Each residency includes 24 hour access to studio space for a twelve-month period, a small stipend, opportunities to teach and mentor and, an exhibition or presentation of the artist’s work after the residency has been completed. All interested individuals should call: 763-574-1850 or email: banfilllocke@usfamily for an application form. Applications are due on or by December 10, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. Residencies begin January 16, 2006.

Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts is located at 6666 East River Road in Fridley just 7 minutes north of downtown Minneapolis. Take 694 to East River Road and proceed north about 1 and 1/2 mile to the Center.
