Ginna
Oil on canvas board. 2004

Ginna's beak was cut off, she was destined to live a life in a space no bigger than her body until the eggs were gone. Then she would have been killed -her life worth no more than than a momentary taste on a tongue. She would never have known what her wings were for. But as fate would have it, she instead found her way to us and found the home she knew in her heart.
