If you’ve ever walked down by the banks of the Mississippi, you’ve probably heard it competing with the crickets to tell you the story of its past. Come join us on September 17th to meet some of the historic characters who once walked these same grounds.

Program includes historical characters Henry Rowe Schoolcraft, 19th century explorer Zebulon Pike, Mississippi river pig Jack Orde, a Swedish immigrant from the sawmills, Workhouse superintendent Frank R. McDonald, an African American schoolteacher, and an early Mississippi Courts resident.

Part of a full afternoon of family activities starting at 2.00 p.m.
