15x23 oil on canvas
The highlight of 2008 was creating the paintings for "B is for Battle Cry: A Civil War Alphabet", written by my dear wife, Patricia Bauer and published by Sleeping Bear Press. This was one of the early images, and the tiny cloverleaf symbol on one of the soldier's hat helps identify him as a possible member of the First Minnesota Regiment, which suffered horrific casualties at Gettysburg in July, 1863.
