alkyd on canvas, 20"x30"
This scene from the children's book, "The Legend of Minnesota", by Kathy-Jo Wargin, captures the moment when the two main characters share stories about the lives of their people. The Ojibwe girl is telling the Dakota boy about the aurora borealis and he is telling her about the buffalo his people hunt on the prairie. I had a lot of fun painting this one.
