SWAN SCREEN
The Swan Screen first appeared to me in a dream. And although my hands did the weaving, I required the help of three artisans to bring my dream into manifestation. Peter Harvey created the two arching swan heads. Bob Kinghorn constructed the center frame. Heidi Todd painted the swan scene.
I was moved by Heidi’s painting. This was the moment that I realized I would begin my studies of sumi-e.
Materials: The frame and arches are solid cherry wood. The two upper arches are woven of red pullet rattan. The painted panels are woven of shave slab rattan.
