This is a vintage california (red) wine barrel that I painted and crafted for a charity fundraiser for the Childrens Foundation of the University of Minnesota Hospital.

The theme is an abstract frieze composed of embossed copper shapes around the center of the barrel, with abstracted floral designs in paint, metallic paint and copper around the top and bottom.

The inside has been opened, painted, lit and forms of my design emplaced within to create a space to hold wine glasses, wine bottles and accoutrement.
