I am a graduate of the University of Iowa with a B.F.A. in Intermedia Arts. I moved to the Twin Cities in 2006 to advance my access to artistic opportunities while developing my skills as a visual artist. I moved into the Northern Warehouse Artists Cooperative in 2008 and have continued to keep a studio here in Saint Paul’s Lowertown Arts District. I operated as the President of the Cooperative in 2016, and try to be a great ambassador of the arts in my neighborhood. My work has been selected to be the promotional poster for the Twin Cities Jazz Festival in 2014, I was the first artist invited to paint the famous pig statues on the east entrance of the Saint Paul Saints new stadium (CHS Field) in 2016, and have most recently been asked to have one of my paintings in a public art display for the “Art Lives Here” project (coming soon!). I currently have a solo show up in the Lowertown Underground Artists Gallery that is somewhat of a retrospective of my development as an artist here in Minnesota. My work has ebbed and flowed through medium, style, and approach; as my curiosity and creativity keep me asking questions that I’m compelled to answer. I have focused more lately on what I feel is my own personal ‘voice’ or ‘style’ and I would love to share what that is with the world by making it more accessible in every means possible.
