Biography
Hailing from the Twin Cities, filmmaker Miranda Harincar has written and directed a number of pieces ranging from digital narrative dramas and documentaries to avant-garde 8mm.
After graduating from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with a B.A. in Cinema and Media Culture she has worked within the industry in Minnesota as a director and producer for films screened nationally and internationally.
Recently she has begun curating unique arts experiences including "Wildish" a immersive encounter with the experimental arts. Her curation mainly focuses around mixed medium and time based art forms and creating a original viewing environment.

Wildish is an immersive encounter with the experimental arts. The event features film, dance, animation, unconventional projection styles, and live music. The pieces focus on art that moves and how that relates to the viewing of that art, the spaces its put in, and more generally how art relates to time. Wildish turns experimental art into a curated experience.
Wildish is a space to play for emerging artists. Both to experiment with their medium and what calls to them, but also to play with the space itself. For this iteration, the music, projections, and performances seek to create a total ambient experience for the audience.

Laurel, the middle-aged housewife is moonlighting as a psychic when her husband Ron starts to notice something uncanny. He begins an investigation to see if perhaps his wife actually does have psychic powers that she doesn’t even realize. We see his discoveries unfold in this quirky and humorous take on what it means to see into the future. This film was Nominated for Best Film and Best Director at IlliniFest 2017.
